A FRENCH FIVE-PIECE TEA, COFFEE AND CHOCOLATE-SERVICE ON SILVER PLATED TWO-HANDLED TRAY, the service maker's mark of Robert Linzeller, comprisng teapot, coffee-pot, chocolate-pot, two-handled covered sugar-bowl and cream-jug, each monogrammed, baluster octagonal, on rim foot, the pots with hinged low raised cover topped by flower button finial on fluted calyx, with wood scroll handle, the chocolate-pot with baluster handle at right angles to the partly hinged covered spout, the finial swivelling to open for a molinet (lacking)--the chocolate-pot 9in. (22.8cm.) high the gadrooned rimmed rectangular tray with canted corners, with two reeded shell capped handles--length over handles 24½in. (62.2cm.), the service 114oz.
