LISBON, EARLY 19TH CENTURY, MAKER'S MARK OF ANTONIO FIRMO DACOSTA
Of oval form with a moulded rim raised on four bead feet, with three removable cylindrical bottles, the central bottle with a fitted reeded bell with baluster handle and bead finial, enclosed by two loop supports connected by an overhead openwork swing handle with a pointed oval vacant cartouche, the two side bottles each with reeded domed cover with bead finial, one with flat pierced top, the sides with removable scroll branches supporting urn-shaped sockets above reeded drip pans, with two pen depressions with cylindrical pen-holders at each end, marked on base--9¼in. (23.5cm.) long
