A MEDALLION PATTERN SILVER SIX PIECE TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE, maker's mark of Gorham no. 261, also stamped Tiffany & Co., circa 1861-1865, comprising teapot, coffee pot, hot water jug, two handled covered sugar bowl, cream jug and waste bowl, each straight sided oval, two sides applied with Classical portrait medallion surrounded by engraved stylized foliage, below engraved with script initial D.R.B. the angular handle applied with medallion issuing from tied ribbon, with die rolled and beaded rims, the pots with medallion and strap decoration, the flat topped hinged cover topped by cast reclining Classical boy finial--the coffee pot 8½in., (21.5cm.) high, gross weight 108.5oz.
