The small square inro decorated in takamakie-e with brown cresting waves and irregular black lacquer shoreline on which grows a tall pine with applied gold needles, over the waves fly five applied chidori worked in shibuichi, gold, copper and shakudo, the compartments roiro, exterior signature cartouche rubbed away- 2 1/4 in. (5.7 cm.); green colored ivory netsuke in the form of a bamboo stalk applied with mother of pearl worm and lacquer spiders
