The rectangular-framed picnic set fitted with a triple-tiered square box, two pewter bottles, marked Suzuya Kyutatsu "pewter by Kyutatsu", a removable upper tray containing a large square footed dish and five smaller rectangular footed dishes, decorated overall in gold and peweter-grey hiramaki-e with large floral medallions reserved on a kikko hanabishi ground, the interiors of the boxes red lacquer- 11 1/8 x 6 1/4 x 10 3/4 in. (28.2 x 15.9 x 27.3 cm.)
