Worked in red, olive, taupe, black and medium brown wool on a cream ground in rows of alternating color depicting acanthus leaves, scrolling vines and berries, each repeat centering a rectangular latticed reserve bound in a conforming dotted frame, the whole coverlet with a repeating border of Presidential profiles, from Washington to Tyler, fringed all around
