Variously decorated with openwork scroll handles, including a French example, the matrix with the arms of Durand, Vivarais, Languedoc; another, engraved with initials, maker's mark apparently that of Martin Berthe; a Dutch example, with the arms of Gemersheim, Rotterdam, circa 1770, maker's mark of Jacob Dreure; another with the arms of Chombach, Hertogenbosch; a bronze example, carved with a Hebrew inscription and seven others.
