With trumpet and baluster shaped handles, the matrices cut with arms, including an example with the arms of Whicker, Garsington, Oxfordshire impaling those of Leicester; another with the arms of Williams, Gwernevet, Brecon; another with the arms of Alexander, Hampshire; another with the arms of Hobson, Wingwood, Isle of Wight; and an example cut with a man's head below DOCTOR PATRICK ANDERSON and three others.
