In the Rococo taste, each of fluted inverted pear-shaped form, the foot elaborately cast and chased with scrolling foliage and flowerheads, the paneled body applied and repousse with sweeping scrolls issuing from palmettes, enclosing flower and rocaille decoration on a background of flowerheads amid trelliswork, two panels front and back applied with a Marquess's armorials, with elaborate flaring undulating rocaille rim, the acanthus clad scroll handles terminating in flowers, with silver liners, marked under bases and on liners--10 3/4in. (27.3cm.)
