A VICTORIAN SILVER MOUNTED CLEAR CUT GLASS CLARET JUG, London, 1887, maker's mark of Charles Edwards, the flattened oval body on scalloped circular foot, the body cut with bands of diaperwork divided by clear reeds, with applied pierced band to the mid section joining handle, the cylindrical neck mount chased with plain and foliate swirling flutes, with foliate scroll collar, squat partly covered spout, with decorated scroll handle, the chased raised hinged cover topped by writhen finial--12½in. (31.7cm.) high
