Of rectangular shape, decorated in sumi-e togidashi on a silver ground with a rakan seated within a mountainous landscape looking on serenly as a boy arranges a lotus in a vase, the reverse with a monkey presenting a flower to another rakan sitting on a rock outcropping holding a rosary, interior cases fundame; fitted with a lacquered bead ojime and an ivory kagamibuta netsuke, the soft-metal plate cast with Moso (Meng Tsung), one of the Chinese paragons of filial piety, and two bamboo shoots springing up from the snow
