(9 1/4 x 6 7/16 x 1/2in.), dark blue morocco, each cover divided into 24 rectangular panels by thin green onlaid calf strapwork, gilt ruled at the edges and with small gilt rectangle stamps at the intersections, the center with an open knotwork lozenge of interlocking green strapwork with small red and gray circular onlays, the cover filled (except for the center ornament) with a densely gilt-tooled design of swirling leaves and gilt dots, 20 of the panels each with a large red morocco onlaid flower; spine in six compartments with five raised bands, gilt lettered in two compartments, a repeated leaf panel in the rest; board edges with single gilt fillet, turn-ins gilt, maroon morocco doublures, the upper doublure with an onlaid wreath, vellum free endleaves, g.e., stamp-signed with the CD monogram and dated 1904 on lower turn-in, joints slightly cracked.
