This is a common design in Jingo school tsuba, most often executed in silver nunome. This work can be attributed to the fourth master, who died in 1823. The dragon is made of several pieces of cast brass joined together. The fine hammer work of earlier generations is not apparent, but the quality of the brass inlay is still high.
