Had this tsuba been unsigned it would have been attributed to the Omori school. There are several artists who signed their names Omori but are known to have belonged to the Harai family. The quality of the carving is equal to classic Omori school wave tsuba and it is possible that Harutoshi is an unrecorded artist of that school.
