The square box set on a high foot, carved in high relief with large peony blossoms and leaves which center, on the lid, a recessed panel of a gambolling shishi reserved on a red and yellow wave ground, the interior also black lacquer- 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 4 cm. (14 x 14 x 10.2 cm.)
