The round, iron base plate is of spoked-wheel, chrysanthemum shape. It is bound with brass, copper and silver wire in the classic Shingen style--height and width 10.5cm., thickness at center 5.0mm., at the edge 1.05mm.
Double wood storage boxes. Inner box with inscription by Sato Kanzan, dated Showa 49 (1974). Accompanied by a tokubetsu kicho certificate issued by the N.B.T.H.K., no. 158, dated Showa 46 (1971), Honbu shinsa (Tokyo shinsa).

The plate of this tsuba was probably made by the Saotome school of armorers, and later bound with wire decoration.
