A KAMIYOSHI SCHOOL TSUBA
EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1825)

The oval iron plate has a round rim and edge and is pierced with two water plantain leaves (omodaka) on either side of the central bar. The leaves have fine line carving--height 7.6cm., width 7.3cm., thickness 5.75mm.
