The oval, smoothly-polished iron plate is pierced and carved in an openwork design of a bamboo branch that forms the rim and leaves that cluster about the central opening. The leaves and the bamboo joints are line-carved--height 7.4cm., width 7.3cm., thickness 5.5mm.

Lot Essay
