EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1775), SIGNED GOSHU HIKONE JU (ON REVERSE) AND KANHEISHI NOMURA KANENORI (ON FACE)

The round shakudo plate carved and inlaid with a rakan releasing a dragon from his food bowl, the rakan Bukan Zengi with his tiger, and another sage flying overhead on the back of a stork on a ground covered in plants, vines, and a waterfall worked in gold and silver relief, the reverse with Chokaro and Tekkai sennin exhaling the figure (his spirit) from his mouth on a similar ground of gold and silver vines, clouds and flowers
