A CONTINENTAL PAIR OF SILVER MOUNTED CUT GLASS CLARET JUGS, apparently unmarked, probably Russian or Eastern European, each with diamond cut compressed spherical body rising to long panelled spreading neck, the foliate scroll decorated scroll handle attached to the body with wavy band engraved with bright cut foliage, the handle with mechanism for cover, the neck mount with two sides applied with circular cartouche within strapwork, one monogrammed, between beaded and circle band, the remainder bright cut engraved with undulating flowering foliage, all on frosted ground, the hinged raised cover also bright cut engraved and topped by openwork scroll finial--10in.
