A VIENNA STYLE RUBY LUSTRE TWO-HANDLED VASE AND STAND
LATE 19TH CENTURY, BEARING BLUE BEEHIVE MARK, SIGNED WAGNER
With gilt entwined serpent handles terminating in foliage, the vase painted in colours with a scene of scantilly clad maidens standing and sitting beside a pool, named in German on the base 'Im Garten des Alkazers', the reverse with a marshy landscape above a band of gilt gadroons, on a flaring fluted socle and circular plinth enriched with gilt urns, scrolling foliage and bell flowers--33½in. (85cm.) high
