Of ovoid form, the handles rising along the side of the vase from the juncture with the flaring foot and terminating in foliate scrolls suspending wreaths, the domed cover with pinecone finial, the cover neck and foot painted with wild flowers within gilt foliate cartouches reserved on the turquoise ground enriched with gilt dots and quatrafoil lozenges, the front painted with a galant and two ladies in a garden, the back with a farmhouse in a rocky landscape--26¼in. (66.5cm.) high
