A LARGE CLOISONNE ENAMEL TRAY
MEIJI PERIOD, SEALED NAMIKAWA SOSUKE (1847-1910)

The large and shallow square tray worked in wireless and silver-wire-outlined enamels with a white parrot perched on a long branch of flowering plum against a sky blue and grey ground, decorated on the reverse in chocolate brown enamels patterned with lighter brown florets outlined in gilt wire, inlaid silver seal on base, shakudo rim- 11 3/8 in. x 11 3/8 in. (28.8 cm.), cracks and extensive crazing
