The Italian-born Antonelli was raised in Philadelphia where he began his photographic career. He worked in a Pictorial mode until 1932 when he met Marinetti and became involved with the Futurists. He stayed in Italy for two years, exhibiting with the group. He returned to the States in 1934, instructed by Marinetti to further the Futurist movement here.
