The tantric Avalokitesvara shown seated in vajrasana atop an elaborate lotus pedestal base, the primary hands held in namaskaramudra before the chest, another pair in dhyanamudra in the lap, of the remaining seven pairs of hands arrayed around the body six hold attributes, wearing a flower-bedecked crown with a central image of Amitabha, the back inscribed with a Dehua double-gourd mark and a Xu Yunlin zhi mark in a square, covered overall with a milk-white glaze, some restoration and losses--13½in. (34.3cm.) high
