A WATERCOLOR AND INK DECORATED VORSCHRIFT
ATTRIBUTED TO HEINRICH REINWALD, SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA, DATED 1825

The fraktur-schriften religious inscription in black ink with red, blue and green embellishments above an alphabet and number sampler, dated at the bottom 13 March 1825, all flanked by horizontal bands of red with black ink detail and vertical borders of scrolling red berried green foliate forms on a yellow ground--6¾ x 9¼in.

The attribution for this fraktur is based on a comparable documented example by Reinwald in the collection of the Schwenkfelder Library, and recorded in the Winterthur Library: Decorative Arts Photographic Collection, NEH 700, 12a - 13a.
