With everted mouth, narrow neck and bulbous body, painted overall on a white ground in blue, green and yellow with scrolling flowers, the underside inscribed in red with Sackler number 81.4.2 (minor glaze chips to mouth and foot rims, test drill holes to underside)--9¼in. (23.5cm.) high

Sold with thermoluminescence certificate 381s24 dated January 1986 from the Research Laboratory for Archaeology and the History of Art, Oxford University, stating that the sample tested was last fired between 250 and 380 years ago (1606-1736).
