ATTRIBUTED TO HAMADA SHOJI (1894-1978)
The large, deep bowl flaring from a high ring foot covered with a glossy, streaked yellow-brown glaze, pooling dark brown, and a large X-cross in thick and bubbly matte cream glaze which ends in a streaked flambe glaze below the rim, the underside covered with a thin, matte brown glaze and patches of the glossy interior glaze- 19 5/8 in. (49.7 cm.) diameter
