A STAFFORDSHIRE SALTGLAZE GLOBULAR TEAPOT AND COVER

With pierced waisted knop, foliate-moulded spout and crabstock handle and enamelled in colours with Cupid shooting and arrow at a maiden seated beside an arbor, a ship in the background, within a green heart-shaped cartouche pierced with arrows, the reverse with Cupid in flight with clouds shooting arrows at flying hearts, in a similar cartouche, the sides and cover with colourful shells and seaweed, Jacobs Collection no. 454 (minute chips, spout restuck)--4½in. (11.5cm.) high
