Will H. Low (1853-1932) went to Paris at age twenty where he befriended Robert Louis Stevenson. Low received a medal at the 1889 Paris Exposition for his illustration of Keats' Lamia. He was a member of the Society of American Artists, the National Academy of Design, the National Society of Mural Painters and the National Institute of Arts and Letters.
