A GEORGE V FOUR PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE, Chester, 1926, maker's mark rubbed, base stamped MADE IN ENGLAND FOR MCAULIFEE & HADLEY, in the George III taste, comprising teapot, coffee pot (finial lacking), two handled sugar bowl and cream jug, each oval with bowed sides and molded corners, the lower body and cover engraved with leafy band, the body engraved above with script initials, the shoulder engraved with guilloche band divided by vermicelli, bordered by wrigglework, with reeded rim, the pots with wood scroll handle, scroll spout, the hinged partly domed cover topped by oval wood finial--the coffee pot 8¾in.
