LOU GEHRIG LETTER AND PHOTOGRAPH
A six page hand-written letter from Lou Gehrig to Louise Geldreick postmarked March 19, 1928. The letter was written during spring training on the stationery of the Princess Martha Hotel, St. Petersburg, Florida. In the letter Gehrig discusses the Florida real estate market and the fact that he relies on his manager Huggins for advice. He advises Louise to hold onto her property. The letter is signed Lou and he signed Gehrig on the front half of the envelope which is included in the lot. Also included is a snapshot of Gehrig swinging, on which he wrote That's me swinging at a ball in one of the baseball games (no pose). The photo is torn and taped on the back. (2)
