1870 AND 1871 CHADWICK MANUALS
The extremely rare 1870 and 1871 Chadwick's Base Ball Manuals by Hall of Fame writer Henry Chadwick, including the first complete accounts of the first baseball team. The 1870 edition contains a review of the season of 1869 including complete records of the six principal professional clubs including the 1869 Cincinnati team which won all fifty seven of its games. It is in good/very good condition and is missing the spine and a piece of the back cover and three interior pages. The 1871 edition reviews the 1870 season of the professional clubs, including the Cincinnati team which finally lost to the Atlantics on June 14, 1870. This edition is in good/very good condition with no spine and a detatched rear cover (piece misssing). There is one half page missing and water staining on some pages. ÿ (2)
