A GEORGE III SILVER COFFEE URN
LONDON, 1782, MAKER'S MARK OF CHARLES WRIGHT

Of vase-shaped form, on spreading circular foot applied with a pearl band and raised on a square pedestal supported by four ball feet, with fluted spigot with bone double scroll handle issuing enclosed by an oval pearl band, with sweeping foliate scroll and pearl handles, the high domed cover with similar bands and surmounted by an urn finial, the front engraved with a vacant oval ribbon and wrigglework cartouche, marked under base and on cover, engraved EH-57, and with Dallas Museum of Art accession number 1987.111--15in. (38cm.) high
