THREE SYRIAN CYLINDER SEALS
CIRCA 1850-1620 B.C.

One of chert engraved with two confronting seated sphinxes, one with a beard, with two hares above their crossed tails, line border, 17 x 9 mm, one of hematite engraved with two confronting seated lions next to a rampant antelope facing left, with a human head and a bull's head in the field, a bird in the sky, line border, 10 x 6 mm, and one of hematite engraved with facing nude half-kneeling figures, a double-headed eagle between them, line border, 13 x 6.5 mm (3)
