The pierced, iron tsuba comprising: a round plate decorated with drums with brass dots, lightning and clouds, (Kyo Shoami, circa 1700)--7.7cm. h., 4.5mm. th.; a plate formed as a bamboo plant with roots, (circa 1750)--8cm. h., 5.75mm. th.; a round plate decorated with a monkey holding three abalone shells tied with a rope, (rust pitting), (circa 1700)--7.7cm. h., 5.5mm. th.; a round plate formed as interlocking bamboo branches with seven leaves, (circa 1750)--7.5cm. h., 5mm. th.; a thick plate formed as two deeply-carved bamboo leaves, (circa 1850)--7.1cm. h., 7.5mm. th.; an oval plate carved with crashing waves, (rusted), (circa 1800)--7.3cm. h., 5mm. th.; an oval plate decorated with a carved goose and water plants, gold nunome highlights, (circa 1850)--7.1cm. h., 5mm. th.; a plate formed as thick grape leaves and vines, three foxes with gold nunome highlights, (circa 1750)--7.2cm. h., 7mm. th.; a plate formed as two monkeys holding hands, (circa 1800)--6.6cm. h., 6.75mm. th.; and a cast plate formed as a pair of antlers, decorated with a bee (10)
