ATTRIBUTED TO THOMAS HOWARD, PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND, 1780-1800
The slant-front opening to reveal a stepped compartment fitted with a central prospect door with light and dark-wood leaf spray centered by three valanced pigeonholes and short drawers recessed above three short drawers, the case with four graduated long drawers with cockbeaded surrounds above a shell-carved drop, on cyma bracket feet with shaped returns (repair to front left foot)--43in. high, 40¾in. wide, 21½in. deep
