manuscript on buff paper, 374ff. plus two flyleaves, each with 13ll. of flowing black naskh, punctuation in red, gold roundels between verses, gold margin between black rules, red outer rule, illuminated marginal medallions marking the divisions of text, sura headings in white on gold cartouches in gold and polychrome illuminated panels, (negligible smudging and staining, white of a few headings faded, slightly trimmed), opening bifolio illuminated in gold and polychrome (repaired at spine), final folio with colophon below an illuminated panel signed by Muhammad Wafai a pupil of Muhammad Rasim and dated 1(1)70, maroon morocco binding with gold stamped medallion and border (repaired)
