This miniature is after Jan Kupecky's oil portrait. An inscription on the reverse of the miniature ascribes it to Anton Rafael Mengs. Whereas it is impossible to confirm this attribution, it cannot be excluded that one of A. R. Mengs's sisters may have executed the present miniature.
