A SWISS ENAMELLED GOLD BONBONNIÈRE

Circular gold box, the cover and base engine-turned with a radiating sunburst motif enamelled in translucent blue surrounded by a white band decorated with two-colour gold paillons, the independant lid furthermore painted en grisille with a scene depicting Venus and Mars seated in a garden; the sides enamelled in translucent blue on a wavy engine-turned reeding within narrow opaque white bands -- 83 mm wide.
