Rectangular grey mottled quartz box, the cover and sides applied with fabrics in two-colour gold and tinted shell burgau lacquer, the base centered by a flower sprig, the cover and base framed by wavy borders in the same technique; the gold mounts engraved with wavy reeding, with slightly raised thumbpiece -- 74 mm wide, slight wear.
