A LOUIS XVI GOLD-MOUNTED BLUE GLASS AND FOIL BONBONNIÈRE
Paris, 1783-1788, with the discharge of Henri Clavel

Circular box, the cover, sides and base inset with blue glass panels on a concentrically reeded guilloché foil ground stamped with scattered clover, the lid centered by a circular gold plaque with a rosette containing clover on concentrical engine-turned reeding, all panels framed by corded gold borders, the interior set with matching foils and lined with blond horn -- 72 mm diam.
