Contemporary red morocco gilt, sides decorated with triple fillets and fleurons in corners, spine with raised bands in six compartments, 4 decorated with floral tools, two with olive morocco lettering pieces, inner dentelles, blue silk doublures and liners, edges gilt. Provenance: Hon. James Butler (bookplate); André Langlois (leather label).
Edition limited to 200 copies on papier vélin. The plates were issued separately about ten years after the edition was printed and are not always present. This copy does not have the additional two frontispieces and the culs-de-lampe, which are often lacking. Cohen-de Ricci 384; Sander 663.
