Folio, 266 x 191mm. (10 7/16 x 7 9/16.), nineteenth-century calf, backstrip defective and inner binding cracked, covers wormed, the worming extending into the book in the lower (and occasionally the upper) gutters, title-leaf patched and with six of seven letters lost, EEE2 with slight tear causing loss of a few letters, ZZ5 with an old stain, final blank leaf patched, some old dampstaining at front and back, marginal soiling, a few tears in gutters, much early manuscript marginalia cropped by the binder.

FIRST EDITION [collation: A AA BB CC-ZZ AAA-GGG (last leaf blank)], title in red and black within ornamental woodcut border, Spanish text in black letter, mostly in double column, surrounded by Latin text in italic on 25 pages at front, 10 ornamental or historiated initial letters.

The very rare book is sometimes bound with two other treatises by the same author.
