2 volumes, one including a manuscript letter from Lady Dufferin. The first with one albumen print frontispiece portrait 5 3/8 x 4 in. (13.7 x 10.2 cm.) and 5 other albumen prints, approximately 8 x 5½ in. (20.2 x 14 cm.) or the reverse, 2 titled in ink on mounts, introductory text reprinted from the Nagpur News, June 11, 1887, including list of contents, 5 plans, elevations and a diploma bound-in; the second with similar frontispiece and 4 other albumen print photographs, 4 approximately 7¼ x 10 in. (18.4 x 25.4 cm.), signed Townshend Phot in the negatives, one smaller, each titled in ink on verso, a four-page ink manuscript letter from Lady Dufferin thanking Dr. Barter for the volume bound-in, each red leather, gilt, titled in gilt on front cover.
