A SILVER SPICECONTAINER AND HAVDALAH CUP, set on a circular stepped domed base engraved with a fret-work border, a spool-form stem, the flaring gadrooned tulip-shaped cup engraved with a repeated pattern of wavy lines within a shield beneath a palmette, the domed tapering cover-shaped spice-section, inscribed at the reverse in Hebrew for my son Yosef, Purim 1877, fitted with a baluster pull-off lid, pierced above with a flower, maker's mark F L T, Vienna, second half 19th Century
