A SILVER SPICECONTAINER, set on three curved panel supports, a circular plate-form base, the edge decorated with a reeded band, a knobbed cylindrical stem with spirally reeded bands, the fruit-shaped spice-section fitted with a hinged cover, pierced with trefoils and foliage, surmounted by an urn-shaped finial, the reverse of the base engraved with the owner's initials K A, marked on base and spice-section with the Austrian-Hungarian mark of 1831, townmark D 5 and maker's mark E W, Austria-Hungary, 1831
