Lot Essay

Srirangam is an island situated in the middle of the Kaveri river which runs through Southern India. The location, considered particularly holy, was chosen as the site for a great complex of Hindu temples built from the 13th to the 17th century. The Temple of Jambukeshvara is dedicated to Shiva.
