A COALPORT GOLD-GROUND 'JEWELLED' GLOBULAR BOX AND COVER
Circa 1895

Enriched with rows of turquoise 'jewels' in graduated sizes, the centre of the cover inset with an imitation moonstone within a circle of red 'jewels', the interior glazed in apricot enriched in powdered gilt lustre (minute scratch to moonstone, minute chip to gilding on interior rim), green printed marks, iron-red retailer's mark for Phillips's, Oxford St. London W., pattern number V1956 4in. (10cm.) high
