The front with Venus reclining on billowing clouds attended by two maidens and a garlanded cherub, two cherubs in flight above, the reverse with two cherubs hugging a garland among billowing clouds, the dark blue flared neck and spreading stem richly gilt with scrolling foliage and with a musical trophy suspended from ribbon, the cover gilt with foliage, mounted with a large cone finial, two scrolling acanthus and laurel handles, on beaded supports with leaves at the lower body and a shaped square base with a wreath of laurel (neck detached from body, cover restored, typical crazing to glaze), signed, imitation blue interlaced L mark
